Michael Bond - Paddington helps out

Yesterday evening I finished my last Paddington book (I will soon order more of them :-)). Again, Paddington tries to be helpful, and again, everything goes wrong, but as always, Paddington falls on his feet, and all turns out right.

These 3 stories made me laugh the hardest:
The little bear goes to an auction with his friend Mr. Gruber. Being a friendly bear, he starts waving at people and does not realize that he is bidding at the same time. Mr. Gruber does the best to make Paddington understand, but only results in the bear bidding against himself. But Paddington is not Paddington if he cannot make it count. And finally he gets his own object of desire for a very low price :-).

Paddington has to look after the Browns, as they are ill, and what can fight a flu better than a good meal. Needless to say, that the kitchen looks like after WW III when Paddington is finished, but he gets unexpected help, so again, everything is all right.

The gentlebear is already a year with the Browns, so they decide to go to a very fine restaurant, including Mrs. Bird and Mr. Gruber. Paddington is overwhelmed by the French Menu and when told, that the restaurant has everything anyone can want, he orders a marmalade sandwhich (of course with custard) - and makes all of the restaurant staff very nervous.

Paddington strikes again! And gets 10 out of 10 for a very nice adventure compilation and a high laugh-factor!

I turn now to the 2nd Sandman-Book by Neil Gaiman: Das Puppenhaus.
